Coming soon to a mailbox near you … Celebrate365’s Spring 2010 issue! Cover design: Sheryl Parsons – Mother’s Dream Artworks Celebrate365 is beginning its second decade of reporting holiday, ornament and folk art news. I can hardly believe that it has been 10 years since this little “retirement” pastime began. How technology has changed in those 10 years! Back in October 1999, I used my brand new, top of the line 1.5 megapixel Sony digital camera to take photos for the the Halloween test issue. I must say that my camera and editing skills have improved significantly over that first black and white issue. The Windmill Club … David Strand Designs

Glass ornament collectors … David Stand announced the launch of The Windmill Club at yesterday’s events hosted by David Blair Designs.

It’s been a lot of years since ornament collectors have had an opportunity to enjoy the perks of a national club of like-minded individuals. Strand’s concept is perhaps the ultimate for collectors. It’s FREE! That’s right. I said FREE!

Reporting from the David Strand Signing …

I’ve met lots of Celebrate365 subscribers here in Southern California. Even though the sun is hidden behind clouds, the glitter is still shining!

David has transformed his shop into a Christmas wonderland as he hosts David Strand and his fabulous glass ornaments and Ino Schaller paper mache candy containers.

Here’s a view of the Schaller display at today’s trunk show. There’s is heavy pre-ordering going on! Is there really a recession? Not for California Christmas collectors!

And, here’s Wendy R trying to make some decisions. When pressed, she decided that her favorite style is the Pinecone Santa. That was David’s best seller last year. Wendy has great taste!
