Sno-Jingle, European glass ornament from JingleNog | Paradiso, Italian free blown jeweled design
JingleNog’s owner and creator, Melissa Byrne, produced the ornaments in Poland and Italy. Byrne has over 20 years of experience in the Christmas and gift industry. She created exclusive products for the Lord and Taylor Christmas Shop for many years, working closely with European craftsmen. She then moved to Christopher Radko, working with the company’s namesake and founder, where she served as Director of Product Development. Now she has created her own pieces to share.
The JingleNog line began with Melissa’s drawings and stories. The resulting group of 60 unique ornaments has been crafted using the traditional handmade methods of glass making. The JingleNog collection showcases the artistry and skills of European glassmakers with a fresh and whimsical twist. |

Home from Europe!
I arrived home about 9 PM last night. The 8-day trip was fabulous but exhausting. Today, I’m busy downloading orders and getting things ready to ship.
If you have ordered tinsel, be watching your mail this week. All tinsel orders went into the mail this afternoon, first class or Priority Mail, depending on the size of your order.
I scoured the Italian, Austrian and German Christmas markets for old fashioned tinsel. I only found it at one market! No wonder it is getting difficult to find. I was able to purchase new packets of both silver and gold strands. Watch the store later this week for new listings.
The Christmas issue of Celebrate365 should arrive at my door tomorrow. The holiday delayed production. Anyway, depending upon arrival time, the majority should go into the post office tomorrow (first class mail).
Watch for lots of posts in the next days!

Illustrator and folk artist, Matthew Kirscht, created “Lighting the Way,” featured on the cover of our upcoming issue. He will be exhibiting at Halloween and Vine and intends to offer the original painting at the show.
Bev Verbeke, our graphic artist, digitally created a frame around Matthew’s painting that sets the mood for the issue.
What’s in the future … with Christopher Radko?
RENOWNED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT DESIGNER CHRISTOPHER RADKO HINTS AT HIS NEXT BUSINESS VENTURE ON WEBSITE “CHRISTOPHERRADKOINPERSON.COM”
NEW YORK CITY – (August 25, 2008)—Christopher Radko became famous by creating and marketing high quality, hand crafted glass Christmas ornaments that have become collection heirlooms throughout the world. He sold his ornament firm in 2005 and took a break from business but now he hints he may be returning with a new venture.
In his first “journal” entry on his personal website, christopherradkoinperson.com, he says that he is thinking of introducing a new line of products.
Christopher was somewhat mysterious in his reference to the new business, saying only the inspiration for his new venture came while he was doing extensive traveling over the past year, including trips to Provence, Assisi and the Umbria areas of Italy as well a his ancestral homeland, Poland. Photos from his travels are posted in the “gallery” section of his site.
“While it’s very early in the process, I can tell you that I’m working on some ideas that are rich in history, art and nature,” Christopher says. “We all realize the importance of good friends in our lives and now that I’ve had a chance to visit with dear friends scattered across the world and hear from others via email, I’ve decided to develop products that can be used to honor friendships with elegance and in a unique and personal style.”
About Christopher Radko: Christopher Radko is an iconic name in American home décor. He began designing and producing keepsake holiday ornaments, gifts and home décor items in 1986. Today he focuses on design and consulting services. For further information please contact jmarkham@aol.com.
